My name is Lynn, and I’m the owner and Tea Artist behind Petals Tea Shop, LLC.

What is a Tea Artist, you ask? Excellent question! I’m an artist who uses my knowledge of tea and herbalism to create uniquely magical blends that are packed with nutritional benefits, so they’re as good for you as they are fun and delicious.

I love being creative, and I draw my inspiration for new teas from everywhere! It could be a flavor, an experience, a medicinal need, nature, or even a book that sparks my imagination and brings a new tea to life.

I source organic ingredients both locally and from all over the world, but I greatly enjoy experimenting with ingredients from my own personal tea garden. Nature is truly at the heart and soul of everything we do here at Petals, after all we wouldn’t be here without our beloved lady camellia sinensis.

Petals Tea Shop officially began in the spring of 2021 while I was on maternity leave with our third child. As a wife, mom, and elementary school teacher, I found that I was missing being creative for creativity’s sake, and I was desperately missing the opportunity to connect with nature. Utilizing our beautiful backyard garden in all of its glory seemed like the natural thing to do! It didn’t take long before our business quickly outgrew our quaint family garden, but it is still the driving inspirational force behind our work.

Tea has a rich, deep, complex, and beautiful history. The vastness of the tea world is far and wide. Tea shouldn’t be crushed up into powders and dust and then sold in chemical- and plastic-laden bags. Instead, tea should be celebrated in a way that connects to peoples’ hearts and cherishes Mother Nature. Tea isn’t a drink—it is an experience. It should spark the imagination and soothe the soul. It should be there to warm your finger tips as you sit by a cool window on a dreary day, or come along with you through the pages of a book. A good tea time is for sharing with friends or enjoying alone. It greets you as you wake in the morning and is there to tuck you into bed at night. And that’s where I come in—to imagine, create, and blend unique brews that will nourish your body and soul.

We recognize that we have been so richly blessed by our small business and our community. Therefore, we are proud to use our resources to give back to others. After all, what good is creating magic if you keep it all to yourself?
